As I tuck into my delicious Scone with fresh jam and clotted cream, I stumbled upon a few thoughts about this lovely English afternoon treat… It is much argued about the ‘correct’ way to pronounce this loved snack. Is it Scone as in ‘sc-own’ or is it Scone as in ‘sc-on’..? I’m just completely confused. Within the UK there is a very distinct North/South dialect divide, and with no exception this word...
